Gen. McCaffrey to Speak at CNTDI on Challenges of Drugs, International Crime and Terrorism

CHARLOTTE, N.C., SEPT. 20, 2012 - UTC Aerospace Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX), announces that Gen. Barry McCaffrey (Ret.) former Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Armed Forces Southern Command and former Director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) will speak on behalf of UTC Aerospace Systems at the Counter Narco-Terrorism and Drug Interdiction (CNTDI) conference and exposition, which takes place at the Hilton Downtown Miami Hotel, Miami, Fla. on September 25-26. In the presentation on Tuesday, September 25 at 11:30 a.m. he will discuss "The challenge of drugs, international crime and terrorism, and how the nature of addiction continues to be engaged in the global issues of drug addiction, drug prevention and terrorism."
Technical staff from UTC Aerospace Systems will be available in the exhibit area to discuss technology and systems ranging from tactical stabilized gimbals and short-wave infra-red (SWIR) cameras providing visibility in obscured conditions (such as fog, smoke & haze) for manned or unmanned applications, to turnkey micro-UAV's and wide area motion imagery (WAMI) collection systems.
